Bringing the future of risk management into the present: Roaring at Penningtvättsdagarna 2024

On the 24th-25th of April is was time for this year’s edition of Penningtvättsdagarna – Sweden’s biggest gathering to find solutions against money laundry, fraud and the financing of terrorism.

This year, Roaring sent four highly valued colleagues; Per, Olivia, Pontus and Bernt-Olof to represent the company. The days were filled with interesting meetings where they engaged in valuable discussions and shared learnings with others working towards a common purpose.   

The event's agenda was dedicated to exploring more effective methods of integrating risk components to prevent financial crimes. Representatives from Sweden’s Financial Intelligence Unit, the Public Prosecution Authority and the Swedish Center for Preventing Violent Extremism, amongst others, provided valuable insights on the consequences of money laundering. 

On Thursday, Pontus filled the auditorium with his seminar on “Simple data analytics for clever risk mitigation”, demonstrating how Roaring's cutting-edge, data-driven solutions are revolutionising risk assessment.

Gone are the days of tedious manual processes reliant solely on PEP, UBO, and sanctions lists. Roaring's innovative approach combines diverse databases to pinpoint risks and decode warning signals, bringing the future of risk management into the present.

"It is not enough to just focus on being compliant, it is a less smart approach. Raise your gaze and see the opportunities with data-driven risk classification”, was the key takeaway from the seminar hosted by Pontus Holmberg.
